This is a new idea along the same lines as a book club. Each week we pick a manga (preferably one that has been out for a while, or even better, is complete) and every member of the club reads it. At the end of the week we report back our opinions, ratings, and so on, and basically have a discussion about it all. We'll take it in turns to pick a manga, and it can be any type of manga you like. Your responsibility as a member will be to read the manga selected even if you don't like that kind of manga - we're not asking you to read the whole thing, just to read as much as you want and report on it. Members of the club will get a badge to stick in their signature. I'd like to have, say, three members of this before we start. I'm member number one, and I'm going to ask MoD, Tort or Shiva to create a membership banner for us  I'll announce our first manga/week when we get to 3 members. Oh, one more thing, we'll be using OneManga as our manga source unless someone wants to share another manga site, in which case it should be made known in your selection, and it should avoid downloads and specialist programs to read). |

Cool, Death Note it is. You want to wait for another member or just do it? Thing is I've already read Death Note (love it, as well) so we're more likely to end up yammering on about it than reviewing it. |

Despite my dislike of reading Manga online I'm up for it, but... I DEMAND CLICKY LINKS FOR TEH LAZY!!! I've been meaning to read DeathNote for a long while now, ever since Waterstones had the full collection in I was gunna by them all in one go, but alas I didn't have enough money at the time and when I did they'd gone  I'll prolly get them at some point! anyway yeah I'll happily read a chapter or 2 on one manga once links are supplied! |

Well it'd have to be a neutral one, it couldn't be themed around a single manga. So... perhaps a generic manga-esque character (drawn perhaps by one of the talented artists of this site?) or... perhaps no image at all, just a long, black banner with "manga club member" in white in the centre or to the bottom right? Nothing massively difficult, in other words. Just beyond my meagre abilities! |

how about the Manga logo that comes up at the start of any Anime owned by "Manga" (apparently it's a brand as well as a word) I'm sure it'll be on a Manga tankobon MoD has for scanning or one I have somewhere... or possibly google-image-search-able |

I got as far as the new guy turning up, that looks like L. He strikes me as a boring little fag. Loving it, but I'm wondering how much further they can push it without it going stale. My favourite so far is easily Light-kun ^^ being evil for the sake of the greater good? I love it. |

Anyway, that's not relevant. I loved it too, though I didn't read as much as you did. I read about half a dozen chapters. Got to say, the artwork was amazing, the story engaging, and yeah, I totally agree. Light-kun is up there now with the greatest bad guys of all time (Vader, Kevin Spacey in se7en, Megatron and so on). As for your "stale" comment. Spoiler: click to toggle Overall I'd give this 9/10 |

I know it's a day late. I read the Zero Chapter with No L and reading this for the first time I thought it was going to be a horror. So this boy picked up a book and he treated it like a journal Death Note: 0 Spoiler: click to toggle but this page was interesting it was a survey Spoiler: click to toggle So I read the starting chapters like "Boredom" but I would like to read more of it Anon where is this simpsons Death Note Scan? A day late doesn't matter. Where is the Simpsons scan? I haven't done it yet Lazy me. I'll do it (probably) tomorrow after getting back from Sunderland. Got a three-hour journey ahead of me for a five minute job!So what did you think of the first chapters, Matto? |
