So... I'm confused. I watched back Whitey-chan's movie. Y'know how he acquired his sword, blahblah... and the Central 46 precided over proceedings. What about Kenpachi? Did he just take a sword off the 46, and swing it about and ignore his basic training? A sword having a name is useless and crap, so he believes. Discuss. |

The Central 46 didn't get involved till 2 people ended up with the same Zanpakuto! Zanpakuto are born from the soul of those using them, even Kenpachi's. It has a name but Kenpachi has forgotten/doesn't use it. And we all know Kenpachi is a special case, being the only Captain to become so by Legally killing the previous Captain. The reason I say forgotten and not that he doesn't know. It is said that Kenpachi's sword isn't sealed, though with this theory that could be disproved. Think back to Ichigo's early days, he didn't know the name of Zangetsu, but clearly had a LOT of Reiatsu, even able to take on the Shikai of a Lieutenant (while under the limiter). Ichigo is completely unaware of how to seal is Sword, so it doesn't matter that he can't hold back his power, without learning the Zanpakuto's name you cannot release Shikai! So if Kenpachi IS using his Shikai as he claims, that means at some point he learn is Swords name and released it. However he has since forgotten it's name hence needing to learn it again, but he's got such a bad relationship with his sword (because of how he uses it) that it won't speak to him, he can't even hear it screaming in pain! (Or obviously, he could have just never learnt his Zanpakuto's name, and he's walking around with a Sealed sword thinking that it is his released sword...) |
